1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how the Gym Trainer mobile application ("Gym Trainer", "the app", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use it. By using the app you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. Gym Trainer has no user accounts and no login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information, and we do not have servers that store information about you.
We also do not use any analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or behavioural-tracking technologies. The app contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
3. Data stored on your device
To make the app useful, Gym Trainer saves certain information locally on your device only. This data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export or back it up yourself. It includes:
- Your workout sessions, logged sets, weights and repetitions;
- Workout history, streaks and per-exercise personal records;
- Routines and any custom exercises you create;
- Body-weight entries you choose to record;
- App preferences such as theme (light/dark), language, and weight unit (kg/lb);
- Workout-reminder settings.
This information is held in your device's local app storage. You can erase all of it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. Uninstalling permanently deletes this data from your device.
4. Network connections
Gym Trainer connects to the internet for a single, limited purpose: to download the public exercise catalog (exercise names, descriptions, target muscles and related media) from our static content hosting.
These are ordinary, read-only downloads of public files. As with any web request, our hosting provider may process standard technical information (such as your IP address) to deliver the files. We do not send any of your personal or workout data over the network, and the app works with previously downloaded content even when offline.
5. Device permissions
The app may request the following permissions, each used only for the stated feature:
- Notifications — to deliver optional local workout reminders. These reminders are generated and scheduled entirely on your device; no reminder data is sent to us.
- Audio output — to play on-device audio cues for session events (for example, when a rest period ends). These sounds are generated locally.
You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
6. Third-party services
Gym Trainer does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or social-login services. The only external service involved is the static file host that serves the public exercise catalog, described in section 4. If you download the app from an app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), that store's own privacy practices apply to your download and are outside our control.
7. Children's privacy
Gym Trainer is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights & choices
Because all of your data is stored locally on your device and we hold nothing about you on our side, you remain in full control at all times. You can:
- View and edit your workout data directly within the app;
- Delete individual entries, or all of your data, from within the app or your device settings;
- Permanently remove all app data by uninstalling Gym Trainer.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Since we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf — but you are welcome to contact us with any questions (see section 11).
9. Data security
Your data is protected by your device's own security model (such as your passcode, biometric lock and operating-system sandboxing). We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a screen lock. Because we never receive your personal data, it cannot be exposed by a breach of our systems.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new app features or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
